That’s when I started searching for an alternative—something durable, maintenance-free, and built to last. After months of research, I discovered plastic lumber, and its performance exceeded my expectations. When we sold the car wash, we saw an opportunity to bring this game-changing material to others, and Texas Plastic Lumber HQ was born.

Traditional nominal-size lumber is the easiest to obtain in sizes ranging from 1"x4" to 2"x10".(Nominal lumber size is the actual size of 1.5"x3.5" for what is commonly called a 2"x4"), A wide variety of other sizes, lengths and profiles are available but may be subject to minimum order quantities.

Plastic Lumber & Structural Plastic Lumber
When it comes to recycled plastic lumber there are two categories, there is regular plastic lumber, (High-density polyethylene (HDPE)) and structural plastic lumber. Structural plastic lumber is akin to regular plastic lumber but is enhanced with fiberglass strands. In larger pieces, fiberglass rods are incorporated alongside the fiberglass strands for added strength and durability. You might consider structural plastic lumber as the more durable commercial type due to its resistance to flexing. When we ask, "what you are going to use the lumber for" we aren't being nosy, we are just making sure you get the right product.
Lease
Something you might think about, if you are using plastic lumber to build a commercial structure, deck or fence you might arrange a lease since the materials do not rot and can be deconstructed and relocated. Check with your accountant or leasing company.
